Hi, Curious how mentors treat older retiree drivers. Do they make it hard on them just to get them out of the industry? I'm 67 and just got invited into a program for a trucking company so wondering how that will go since everything I read about mentor trainers is horrible at best even towards the young. I've been an excellent driver no tickets or accidents and an ex school bus driver as a matter of fact, one who doesn't get in a stupid hurry and knows to keep a safe following distance. But will that even matter or will this person just see me as a potential threat? After reading the grueling schedule and details, I'm starting to question whether they could be right. So question is, are there other new hires my age out there and if so, how are they doing? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
